The Touch and Go Chess guys are usually set-up on the corner across the street from the Art Institute in a busy corner of Millennium park. For $2 you can play all day.
People playing chess is one of may favorite things to photograph. Concentration on the game makes people less aware of themselves and more relaxed. The chessboard also seems to bring together people that would otherwise never meet.
