BIOGRAPHY
John Sisson is literally a child of photography: his parents met while they were
both working for Polaroid in the mid 1960's. He is a Chicago-based documentary
photographer with over 15 years of professional experience in photography,
digital imaging, graphic design and strategic communications.
He operates John Sisson Photography, a professional service specializing in
documentary and promotional photography for art organizations, theaters, and
visual artists working in performance, film, time-based media and installation.
John holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute
of Chicago where he studied Photography with mentors Barbara Crane and
Ken Josephson, Printmaking with Jeanine Coupe Ryding and Art History with
Sir Robert J. Loescher.
John also works as a Career Advisor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
In this role, he assist college students and alumni with professional development
in the fields of fine art and design.
